Where can I get a schedule of upcoming ISSA seminars in my area?
Right
here.

Why is ISSA the best in the industry?
Because their information and education comes from a first-rate source, composed of a vast team of professors that not only are highly educated themselves, but also have experienced athletic success.  Ranging from world championships, world record holders, Olympic success, and winners of various national, state and local championships, representing virtually every sport or fitness activity known. What is the best way to become a successful personal trainer?
The most successful trainers are highly educated. They start with the
CFT as that serves as the core of their education. Then they move on to a specialty course, such as the Youth Fitness Trainer course because they enjoy working with kids, or they enjoy working with the physically limited so they take the SAF course. Or you may pick the Specialist in Performance Nutrition course as your specialty to work with virtually anyone helping them to enjoy a better quality of life through proper nutrition.

What is on the Fitness Library CD?
”The Complete Guide to Exercise” contains hundreds of exercises demonstrated by the world's most prominent bodybuilders including Lenda Murray, Cory Everson, Shawn Ray, and many others. This is a useful tool that assists students with "hands on" knowledge.   Compatible for PC and Mac. Included with a course enrollment.

How long does it take to get certified?
You can take as long as you’d like to complete your course.  There is no time limit. Some people take several years to finish the exam, while others go to a seminar and complete the majority of the course in a weekend.

If I wanted to get the course completed ASAP, what would I need to do?
Go to a 2-seminar. Day 1 is in a classroom setting. The first half of Day 2 is in a gym where you learn the hands on techniques with a Professor.  The second half of Day 2 you go back to the classroom setting for a timed exam.

Can I take the courses online?
Yes, five of the courses offered by ISSA are available for online testing and study. The five are:
Certified Fitness Trainer (CFT), Specialist in Performance Nutrition (SPN), Fitness Therapy (FT), Specialist in Fitness for Older Adults (SFOA) and the Specialist in Sports Conditioning (SSC). The Youth Fitness Trainer (YFT) course will be online shortly.  To get your passcodes to take your course online, email us at Info@PersonalTrainingCertificationOnline.com

What form is the test?
Each exam is composed of multiple choice, case studies, and essay questions. ISSA’s academicians have found this to be the most effective way for thorough comprehension and retention of the material.

What if I don’t pass?
ISSA wants you to succeed, so if you do not pass the first the first time, you can take the test as many times as you need.  You can call ISSA’s technical department to ask questions at anytime.

Can I still take the course even if I don’t want to take on clients, or charge anyone?
Yes!

Are ISSA courses accredited?
There are no accredited personal training organizations. The ones that are, formed an accreditation company so they could call themselves accredited.  ISSA is the only company that we know of that has begun the process to file with the proper governing bodies within the Department of Education.

How many people have taken an ISSA course?
Since 1988 over 51,000 fitness enthusiasts have taken at least one ISSA course. Because of the quality of the organization, and the quality of the information, many of ISSA’s members take multiple courses.
